Celebrating the Mother/Daughter Relationship

This activity allowed the mothers and daughters the opportunity to explore control issues within their relationship.

The purpose of the activity was to mirror the actions and moves of your partner. Flexibility, both mentally and physically were key components of the exercise.

We enjoyed time together exploring the woods of Oakwood Farms Retreat

Celebrating the Crone

Woman united for a weekend to honor the crones.

The ceremony included a proccesional through the garden, dancing, singing and poetry reading.

Representitive of their personal place in life, each woman made a mask.

The first step in the mask-making process was to set the plaster mold.

Royda's daughters and grandaughters worked to help create her mask.

.

After the mold dried (15-20 minutes), the second step was to carefully lift the mask off the participant's face..

Decorating the mask became a very personal endevour.

Group process, meditation, music and fellowship completed the weekend.

Each crone had family members or a sponsor to lead her through the final ceremony.
